At the hub of community life will be the Heritage Lodge and Fitness Center. SageLife staff will ensure that residents’ needs are met with customized solutions when they need them and a robust activity calendar will provide a wide range of activities for residents to enjoy."
Keeping the body in motion. Examples include fitness classes, coordinated personal training, dance classes, Tai Chi, yoga, and many other options for movement at all different levels.
Focusing on giving back to the community and sense of purpose for our residents. Examples include reading in classrooms, volunteering in local libraries, stuffing boxes for troops at Christmas time, volunteering at local hospitals, food banks, and volunteering on Election Days.
Staying connected with others, not isolating or being alone, belonging to a group. Events such as organized resident parties, happy hours, traveling dinners, coordinated trips to restaurants, movies, contracted entertainment, and family picnics.
Appreciation and the desire to be around beautiful things. Examples include gardening club for Heritage residents, art classes, music classes, art museum trips, and cooking demonstrations.
Keeping the mind stimulated and active. Examples to include trips to museums, classes in the community center from local universities, lectures, coordinated discussion groups, book clubs, and political discussions.
Never quit learning and trying something new. Our SageLife staff will pursue new areas of interest for Heritage residents and facilitate new areas of learning for whatever topic that may be. Examples of topics in this category have included bee keeping, line dancing, travel, and opera. The ideas and possibilities are endless here.
Organized, scheduled wellness activities such as blood pressure screening, diabetes management clinics, nutrition lectures and weight control clinics. Arrangements for in-house or lodge-based physical therapy and other similar wellness services can be coordinated by SageLife staff.
Coordinated, planned temporary care services for people returning home after planned procedures such as knee replacements, minor surgeries, and oral surgeries to help residents with mobility, dressing, showering, food preparation, and general observation, until they are back on their feet.
Coordinated services for those individuals who want to remain in their home, but need extra help with activities of daily living including: meal preparation, laundry, medication reminders, daily check-ins, and pill box filling. Residents would have a care plan coordinated with care staff for planned visits for that little bit of additional help our residents may need to stay as independent and active as possible.
Coordinated services for individuals needing more care for whatever length of time deemed necessary. This could include an aide for 24 hours a day, during waking hours for 12-16 hours a day, or possibly 8 hours a day while a spouse or family member is not in residence.
Scheduled, temporary care services for residents when family is out of town and need care for their family member.
Coordinate and facilitate transportation services for our residents including Ubers and other ride sharing services, public transportation plans, scheduling on-site drivers, group transportation to events, airport and train travel pickups and drop offs, and medical appointment transportation.
Housekeepers will provide services in the Heritage Lodge. Cottage residents will have several options to choose from depending on the level of service they would like.
In home maintenance and handyman services for repairs and home projects for Heritage residents. Scheduled services for projects such as hanging pictures, building shelving in closets, mounting a television or painting an accent wall could be coordinated by SageLife staff for work performed by approved, qualified vendors.
Snow will be removed from all streets, parking lots, driveways and lead walks to your front door. Leaves will be removed in all common areas and yards. All common area and homeowner lawns will be mowed on a regular schedule. Community gardens and planting beds will be maintained by a professional grounds-keeping company.
Include dog walking and cat sitting, package receiving and delivery to your home, contracted tech support, mail pick-up and delivery when you are traveling, holiday decorating assistance, massages, meal delivery or arranging in-house chefs, drop off and pick up dry cleaning / laundry.
The Heritage Lodge will have three separate dining rooms serving three meals a day for the entire community (one for independent living residents living in both the Lodge and Cottages, one for assisted living residents, and one for memory care residents). SageLife is known for an emphasis on culinary excellence.
